No further FA action against Walsall after Wolves' racism complaints

The Football Association clears Walsall and their fans of any wrongdoing following allegations of racist abuse towards two Wolves players.

Walsall and their fans have been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Football Association following allegations of racist abuse towards two Wolverhampton Wanderers players.

Wolves made a complaint to the FA last week after players Carl Ikeme and George Elokobi reported that they had heard racist abuse during a League One game at the Banks's Stadium.

After being notified by the FA that there would be no punishment, Walsall released a statement which read: "We promote an inclusive philosophy. We are proud of the work we undertake within the local community and beyond and are committed to social inclusion.

"Walsall is a multi-cultural town and we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind."

League leaders Wolves won the match 3-0 on March 8.
