An inquest into the death of former Wales manager Gary Speed has heard how he sent a text to his wife four days before his suicide where he "talked in terms of taking his life".
Speed was found hanged at his Chester home by his wife Louise on Sunday, November 27.
The court was also told by Louise Speed that she had had an "exchange of words" with her husband the night before he died.
Speed's mother is also in attendance and told the inquest: "He was always a half-empty person. Certainly he was no optimist."
The doctor for the Wales national team has also spoken, saying that Speed showed no signs of stress or depression.
The coroner has recorded a narrative verdict, saying that there was insufficient evidence to suggest that Speed intended to take his own life.
