Chris Coleman anticipating "bumpy ride"

Manager Chris Coleman admits that his injury-depleted Wales side face a "bumpy ride" in their World Cup qualifier against Macedonia in Cardiff.

Wales manager Chris Coleman has admitted that his injury-depleted side face a "bumpy ride" against Macedonia in their World Cup qualifier at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The Dragons are without many of their key players, including Gareth Bale, Ashley Williams and Joe Allen, for their clash with the minnows, which will go some way to deciding who finishes bottom of Group A.

"Tonight will be a bumpy ride, no doubt," Coleman told reporters. "We found out they were a decent team in Macedonia.

"We have a lot of changes, that is international football. The important thing is the boys we have here. It is good experience for them, and they will enjoy it more if they do their best.

"It is a good way for Craig Bellamy to end his international career as a Cardiff boy."

Wales have picked up six points from their eight qualifying matches, which came courtesy of two victories over Scotland, a tally that has resulted in Coleman's future as manager being questioned.
