Report: Valencia close to Mathew Ryan signing

A report claims that Valencia are close to signing Club Brugge's Australian goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.

Valencia are reportedly closing in on a move for Club Brugge goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.

Los Che are on the lookout for a new stopper this summer following a long-term injury to their number one Diego Alves, who will miss a large chunk of next season.

According to reports in Spain, Ryan is currently on his way to the La Liga club to undergo a medical after the two teams agreed a £5m deal.

The 23-year-old, who moved to Brugge from Central Coast Mariners in 2013, represented Australia at the 2014 World Cup.

Ryan made 56 appearances in all competitions for his club last season.
