Roberto Pereyra, Gabriele Angella, Danilo and Giovanni Pasquale help Udinese overcome Cagliari 4-1 at home in Serie A.

Udinese have won the battle of the mid-table in Udine with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Cagliari.

The hosts were in control of the game at Stadio Communale Friuli right from the start and deservedly went ahead in the 33rd minute through Roberto Pereyra.

Six minutes later Gabriele Angella doubled Udinese's advantage when he shot home from just yards out.

It became 3-0 to Francesco Guidolin's side in the third minute of the second half when Danilo headed home Antonio Di Natale's cross from just yards out.

Midway through the second half Giovanni Pasquale wrapped up the points for Udinese, as he turned in Diego Fabbrini's pass from the centre of the box with his left foot.

Cagliari pulled one back in the 80th minute when Daniele Dessena headed home Andrea Cossu's cross from close range, but it was a mere consolation.
