Toronto have reportedly rejected numerous bids for striker Jermain Defoe on transfer deadline day.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward had been linked with a return to the Premier League following the dismissal of Toronto coach Ryan Nelsen, with Queens Park Rangers and Arsenal both thought to be interested in the Englishman.
However, the Toronto Sun reports that Defoe will be staying with the MLS side after the team rejected a number of offers for the 31-year-old.
Defoe moved to Toronto earlier this year after a five-year spell with Spurs, scoring 11 goals in his first 16 appearances for the team.
