Toronto FC are reportedly closing in on the signature of Roma midfielder Michael Bradley.
According former New England Revolution forward and ESPN analyst Taylor Twellman, the Canadian outfit are "on the verge" of capturing the USA international.
The 26-year-old American, who joined the Giallorossi from Chievo last year, has not played in his homeland since 2006, when he left MetroStars to join Dutch side Heerenveen.
It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe will be joining him on the roster for next season.
Ready for a blockbuster? I'm hearing @torontofc on the verge of signing Michael Bradley. Would be a huge coup for @MLS and @torontofc #USMNT
