Swindon Town sign former Watford striker Jamie Calvin on short-team deal

Martin Ling makes his first signing as Swindon Town boss by bringing in Jamie Calvin on a one-year deal.

Swindon Town have brought in former Watford and Oxford United striker Jamie Calvin on a one-year contract.

The 20-year-old becomes Martin Ling's first signing since taking charge of the Robins earlier this month.

Calvin was released by Oxford in April 2014 and has since spent time with non-League duo Daventry and Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Swindon have now moved to recruit the youngster on a short-team deal, with the League One outfit hovering just one place above the drop zone.
