Swansea City have reportedly tabled an improved offer for Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods after their first bid was knocked back.
The Welsh outfit are believed to have fallen short with their previous £6m approach for the 24-year-old, who has amassed 122 Championship appearances for the Bees.
Woods was left out of Brentford's squad for their opening league game of the season, which manager Dean Smith admitted was down to one of his star men being "distracted".
According to Sky Sports News, Swansea are refusing to accept defeat in their pursuit of the ex-Walsall and Shrewsbury Town product, with talks now expected to resume.
News of the Swans' renewed interest in Woods comes a day after Sam Clucas's switch to Burnley allegedly fell through because of a failure to agree personal terms.
