Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins insists that there has been no progress in the club's attempts to sign Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony.

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has refuted suggestions that the club have made an improved offer for Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony.

Bony's agent Francis Kacou had claimed that Swansea had increased their offer for the Ivory Coast international, but Jenkins has insisted that the Welsh outfit are still awaiting the outcome of their initial bid.

Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post: "I have had no answer from Vitesse at all.

"Our offer has not been accepted, so we're still waiting and nothing has changed."

The 24-year-old has scored 53 goals in 73 appearances for Vitesse.
