A report claims that Vitesse Arnhem forward Wilfried Bony is close to joining Swansea City.

The agent of Vitesse Arnhem forward Wilfried Bony will reportedly hold transfer talks with Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins this week.

The Welsh side are one of a number of clubs reported to be interested in signing the 24-year-old, who scored 37 goals in 36 games last season.

Newcastle United have been strongly credited with an interest, but according to Sky Sports News, a deal between Bony and Swansea could be imminent with discussions due to take place as early as Tuesday.

The Ivorian is believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League.
