Clint Dempsey misses a penalty as Fulham fall to a 2-0 defeat the Liberty Stadium.

Clint Dempsey missed a penalty on the road as Swansea beat Fulham at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon.

Leroy Lita had the best chance of the first half from a Mark Gower cross, but fired his header past the post. The Swans striker later had a penalty appeal turned down after Fulham's Riise appeared to impede him from another attempt on goal.

Scott Sinclair put the home side ahead after the break, beating Mark Schwarzer from range after the visiting keeper cleared a corner.

Fulham forward Clint Dempsey stepped up for a late penalty after a foul on substitute Kerim Frei. However, the home side avoided the late scare and grabbed a goal of their own through Danny Graham.
