Martin Jol predicts "bad" Danny Murphy injury

Martin Jol reveals Danny Murphy may have suffered a "bad" injury in Fulham's 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Craven Cottage.

Fulham manager Martin Jol is worried Danny Murphy could be set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury in Fulham's 1-0 victory over Liverpool tonight.

The Cottagers skipper limped off in second-half stoppage time, just minutes after Clint Dempsey's winning goal for the home side.

"I think it is a bad one," said Jol.

"His ankle has swollen up and I don't think he will play in the next match or next couple of matches.

"We'll have a nice drink tonight and celebrate the win and then do an assessment tomorrow; but I think it's a bad one."

Murphy has been an ever-present in the Fulham side this season, scoring one goal and contributing five assists.
