Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers has said that he hopes to sign six players in January's transfer window.

The Swans are currently 13th in the league but Rodgers says that he needs to strengthen his squad to maintain their top-flight chances.

"We are looking to identify targets to keep us strong," said Rodgers.

"To give us the opportunity to stay in the league, for that I feel we need between four to six players.

"We've done very well up until now with the players that we have. But as you get towards May, you are going to need all of your players."

Swansea continue their Premier League campaign against Aston Villa at home on Sunday.
