Nathan Dyer hoping to repay Garry Monk faith

Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer insists that the senior players have a responsibility to perform during the club's battle to move away from the relegation zone.

Swansea City midfielder Nathan Dyer has revealed that he is still to find his best form since coming back from injury.

Dyer returned to action last month after suffering an ankle injury at Norwich City before Christmas, but after four games back with the first team, the winger is keen to repay the faith shown in him by new boss Garry Monk.

The 26-year-old is quoted by Wales Online as saying: "After coming back from injury, it's about getting up to full fitness. Garry Monk has put his faith in me and I've got to repay that.

"I've got to be his eyes and ears on the pitch as a senior player as well. It's only been three or four games since I've been back, two games under Michael and two games under Garry, but I'm finding my feet again.

"So it's not just him picking me that is the reason I'm playing well. I'm working as hard as possible but I don't think that I've reached top form yet."

Dyer is expected to feature when Swansea travel to Everton on Sunday.
