Swansea City forward Stephen Dobbie claims that he will fight for regular starting spots this season.

Swansea City striker Stephen Dobbie has insisted that he wants to secure a regular spot in the Welsh side under new manager Michael Laudrup.

The 29-year-old, who spent the majority of last season on loan at Blackpool, made just eight appearances for former boss Brendan Rodgers during the club's first season in the top flight.

"It's a fresh start for everyone," said Dobbie. "Personally I didn't think I got a fair crack last season so I've come back, worked really hard in pre-season and I want to show the new manager what I can do."

Dobbie netted a hat-trick in the Swans' 5-0 win over Port Talbot on Saturday.
