A brace from Peter Crouch has given Stoke City a 2-0 lead over Swansea City at half-time in the Premier League.
Swansea were made to pay for poor defending in the 12th minute when a Glenn Whelan corner found an unmarked Crouch and the England international headed in to continue his good form.
The visitors responded well and Michu could have equalised midway through the first period after a trademark passing move from the Welsh side but the striker failed to find the target from the edge of the area.
However, it was Stoke who scored the second goal of the match before half-time as Crouch reacted quickly to a Michel Vorm save to double his tally for the afternoon.
Crouch's second goal looked to have changed the game before the interval, with Charlie Adam's deep crosses continuing to cause problems until the whistle.
