Deadline-day signing Danny Graham is named on the Sunderland bench for their match with Reading at the Madjewski Stadium.

Danny Graham has been named among the Sunderland substitutes for their trip to Reading this afternoon after completing his deadline-day transfer from Swansea City.

He is joined on the Black Cats bench by Danny Rose, who has not played since January 5 due to a hamstring strain.

Carlos Cuellar and Lee Cattermole are still sidelined with injury and so Martin O'Neill sticks with the side that drew 0-0 with the Swans on Tuesday.

Despite scoring a brace in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea, Adam Le Fondre is again only a substitute for the Royals.

Hope Akpan and Garath McCleary are awarded promotions from the bench to the starting XI, replacing Danny Guthrie and Jem Karacan.

Reading: Federici; Kelly, Pearce, Mariappa, Harte; Akpan, Leigertwood, McAnuff; McCleary, Kebe; Pogrebnyak

Sunderland: Mignolet; Gardner, O'Shea, Bramble, Colback; N'Diaye, Vaughan, Larsson, Johnson; Sessegnon; Fletcher
