Team News: Timo Werner starts up front for Stuttgart

Young striker Timo Werner is handed a start for Stuttgart up front in place of Vedad Ibisevic.

Stuttgart head coach Thomas Schneider has selected young forward Timo Werner to start up front alongside Mohammed Abdellaoue for his side's trip to Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

The four-man midfield remains the same, with Rami Khedira and Moritz Leitner providing the mix of solidity and creativity with Ibrahima Traore and Martin Harnik on either flank.

For the hosting Hoffenheim Sven Schipplock starts up front, with an attacking trio in behind comprising Kevin Volland, Kai Herdling and Roberto Firmino.

Hoffenheim: Casteels; Beck, Abraham, Sule, Johnson; Salihovic, Polanski; Firmino, Herdling, Volland; Schipplock

Stuttgart: Ulreich; Schwaab, Niedermeier, Rudiger, Boka; Leitner, Khedira, Traore, Harnik; Werner, Abdellaoue
