Stoke City manager Mark Hughes admits that he is impressed with the club's scouting system.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has revealed that he is impressed with the club's scouting system.

The Potters have already added two new faces to their squad this summer in the form of Erik Pieters and Marc Muniesa - both of whom were suggested to Hughes.

"It's working well," he told the Stoke Sentinel. "We have the right people in the right positions to make things happen and we have good contacts all over Europe. With the insight we now have into most markets, we were ahead of the game."

Stoke get their Premier League campaign underway at Liverpool on August 17.
