Team News: Charlie Adam starts for Stoke City in place of Glenn Whelan

Charlie Adam starts today for Stoke City against Crystal Palace, while Jason Puncheon makes his Palace debut.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has made one change to the team that lost to Liverpool last week, as Charlie Adam replaces Glenn Whelan in midfield.

Peter Crouch again starts on his own up front today against Crystal Palace, while Matthew Etherington will be expected to provide the service from the left.

For Palace, Jason Puncheon replaces Owen Garvan and makes his debut after signing from Southampton on a season-long loan.

Marouane Chamakh comes in for Aaron Wilbraham in attack and Jose Campana makes his Palace debut, replacing Stephen Dobbie.
