Mamady Sidibe offered new Stoke deal

Stoke City offer striker Mamady Sidibe a new 12-month contract despite the former Mali international not playing a first-team game in two years.

Stoke City have offered striker Mamady Sidibe a new 12-month contract.

Sidibe, 32, has been plagued by injuries during the last few seasons, preventing him from playing a first-team match for the club for two years.

However, the Potters are determined to be patient with the Mali international and have offered him a year-long deal to try to regain his fitness.

"I have just talked to the club and they have offered me another year to get me fit again," Sidibe told The Sentinel.

Sidibe joined Stoke in 2005, scoring 26 goals in 186 appearances for the club and helping them get promoted to the Premier League in that time.
