Stoke City manager Tony Pulis says that he is "disappointed" not to have beaten Everton at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon.

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis believes that his side did enough to win today's Premier League clash with Everton.

The game ended 1-1 at the Britannia Stadium, as Kenwyne Jones scored to spare the blushes of Ryan Shawcross, whose own goal had given the Toffees the lead before the break.

However, the Welsh coach said that he was "disappointed" not to have gone on to claim all three points, despite conceding that his team could have been out of the game before half time.

"I thought it was a very even first half," Sky Sports News quotes Pulis as saying.

"I haven't seen it, but they tell me that Everton were unlucky not to get a penalty from what might have been a handball by Glenn [Whelan]. If we had gone in two-nil down at half-time, it would have been very difficult for us to get back.

"I spoke to them at half-time and said 'let's push up an extra 10 or 15 yards and see what they are like when they have to defend properly'. Then I thought we created four or five great opportunities in the second half and we are disappointed in the end not to have won the game."

The Potters sit ninth in the Premier League.
