Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland has insisted that he can replace Asmir Begovic as the club's number one.
Begovic has been a regular for the Potters since 2011 but is tipped to leave this summer, with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Inter Milan reportedly keen.
Butland has played in the last three Stoke games, and hopes to continue in the first team from now on.
He told reporters: "Without a doubt [I'm ready]. I'm playing for my future. His [Begovic] future is out of my hands. I want the best for him, but I'm playing for my future.
"I'm doing everything I can do to show I can play in the Premier League and hopefully that's with Stoke. I feel like I've improved as a goalkeeper this season. I've worked on a hell of a lot. I've just tried to improve all round and now I have the platform to show people what I can do."
The 22-year-old moved to North Staffordshire from Birmingham City in 2013.
