Stoke City are holding Everton to a 0-0 draw at half time at the Britannia Stadium.
Kevin Mirallas went close with a volley on the half-hour mark after James McCarthy had earlier forced Thomas Sorensen into a save.
Ross Barkley then had an effort from the edge of the box, but the strike rose too high to trouble the goal.
Mirallas struck the post at the end of the half when he hit a free kick from around 25 yards out.
