Having never met before the current campaign, Stevenage and Everton will meet for the second time this season when the League One side welcome the Merseysiders to the Lamex Stadium in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday.
Stevenage almost pulled off a major shock in the League Cup earlier this season, taking the Toffees to extra time at Goodison Park only to lose 2-1.
They will be hoping to go one better in their own back yard this weekend as they look to provide a major cup upset and move into the fifth round.
Things have not been going well for the hosts in the league, however, as just one win in their last nine games has left them rock bottom of the table.
Graham Westley's side are four points from safety, and he is likely to have one eye on his side's perilous league position rather than putting too much emphasis on an unlikely cup run.
However, he has vowed to take the game seriously and has a history of giant killings having knocked Newcastle United and Reading out of the cup in recent years.
If Westley is to add Everton to that list of conquered teams then he will have to do so without Ben Chorley and Greg Tansey, both of whom left the club this week.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez could have one eye on Tuesday's Merseyside derby against Liverpool, but he is unlikely to take the FA Cup lightly having guided Wigan Athletic to success in the competition last season.
The Toffees have only been beaten once in their last 16 outings in all competitions, including a thumping 4-0 win over high-flying Championship side Queens Park Rangers in the third round.
However, they have struggled for goals away from home at times this season, only scoring more than two on their travels on one occasion.
The visitors are unlikely to risk Seamus Coleman after he was taken off during Monday's 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion with a slight hamstring injury, while Ross Barkley, Gerard Deulofeu, Arouna Kone and Darron Gibson are all definitely out.
