After seeing a move to Arsenal fall through, Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill has become the subject of interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is reportedly keen to boost his defensive ranks and has offered a transfer fee and Sebastian Bassong to secure the England international's signature, according to The Mirror.
Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is said to have turned down the deal and told his opposite number Redknapp that he will only accept a straight cash deal.
Bolton are believed to be holding out for £17m.
