Malaga striker Jose Salomon Rondon emerges as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly prepared a £4m bid to sign Malaga striker Jose Salomon Rondon.

The 22-year-old has scored 27 goals in two seasons for the Spanish club but could leave this summer due to a dispute with the owners over unpaid wages.

Chelsea and Arsenal both sent scouts to watch Rondon last season but the Daily Mail suggests that Spurs are the new favourites to sign the Venezuelan.

Andre Villas-Boas is keen to sign a striker and could offer Giovanni dos Santos as part of a deal to sign Rondon.

Spurs are also believed to be close to signing Emmanuel Adebayor.
