Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Naughton is reportedly the subject of a £4m bid from Reading.

Reading have reportedly made a bid of £4m for Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kyle Naughton.

The newly-promoted club are believed to be searching for a full-back and see the 23-year-old as a potential candidate.

However, the deal could hinge on whether Andre Villas-Boas has Naughton in his plans for the forthcoming season after the defender returned to the club following a loan spell at Norwich City last season.

Reading manager Brian McDermott said: "We've made an offer for another player. That has been ongoing for a number of weeks.

"He is in England and we've targeted him for a number of weeks. We're hopeful we can get it done."

Naughton is also believed to be on Aston Villa's radar this summer.
