Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly hopeful of signing West Bromwich Albion defender Jonas Olsson after he returns from Euro 2012.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign West Bromwich Albion centre-back Jonas Olsson.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is keen to bolster his defensive ranks in the wake of Ledley King's release from the club.

Redknapp, who also has concerns over the long-term fitness of Michael Dawson and William Gallas, was credited with an interest in Olsson last month.

The Londoners have since been pondering a move for the 29-year-old and are now confident of signing him for £4m after Sweden's Euro 2012 campaign, according to The Mirror.

Olsson, who has made 136 appearances for the Baggies, has 12 months remaining on his contract at the Hawthorns.
