Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United will go head to head for the signature of Blackburn Rovers forward Junior Hoilett in January, according to Metro.
Both clubs are reportedly looking for more options up front, with the Tyneside club still searching to replace Andy Carroll.
The highly-rated forward is out of contract in the summer and appears to be reluctant to sign a new deal.
Blackburn have struggled in the league under Steve Kean this season and currently sit 19th in the table, but Hoilett's performances have stood out.
The 21-year-old has contributed one goal and four assists in the league so far this campaign.
