Junior Hoilett has been offered a new contract at Blackburn Rovers.
The 21-year-old's current contract expires next summer and the club are eager to have him put pen to paper on a long-term deal.
Manager Steve Kean told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I had a great talk with his mum and dad in Toronto.
"He has since received an offer of a very good healthy contract and the signs are that it is progressing well."
The Canadian has made 47 appearances for Rovers since 2007, scoring five goals.
