Report: Tottenham Hotspur target Porto winger Christian Atsu

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eyeing a summer move for Porto winger Christian Atsu, who played under Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas at the club.

Tottenham Hotspur are targeting a summer move for Porto winger Christian Atsu, according to a report.

Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas gave the 20-year-old his debut while he was in charge of the Portuguese side and now wants to bring him to the Premier League.

Villas-Boas was interested in signing Atsu last summer but was put off by the £12m valuation of the player but is now hopeful of landing him for £8m as his contract expires next year.

The Mirror reports that Tottenham could face competition from Everton and Sunderland for the winger's signature but Spurs are the favourites due to Villas-Boas's past relationship with Atsu.
