A report claims that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Stuttgart's Nicolas Gonzalez, who is valued in the region of £27m.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly begun preliminary talks with Stuttgart over a move for winger Nicolas Gonzalez.

The 22-year-old has been on the radar of numerous European clubs after impressing for Stuttgart with five goals in 10 Bundesliga games this term.

Spurs are in the market for a wide forward and, according to The Athletic, they are closing in on a deal for Gonzalez.

However, the Argentina international only signed a new deal with Stuttgart at the start of the season and is under contract until 2024.

Spurs will therefore have to pay around £27m to land Gonzalez, it is claimed - a fee that will only increase should the attacker's form continue through until the end of the season.
