Nuno Espirito Santo reportedly wants to bring 6ft 6in Stoke City defender Harry Souttar to Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly keen to bring Stoke City defender Harry Souttar to the club in 2022.

The 23-year-old returned to Stoke this summer after spending 18 months on loan at Fleetwood Town and has caught the eye with his assured displays this term, starting 13 Championship games for the Potters already.

Souttar has also donned the captain's armband in victories over Huddersfield Town and Hull City, with his form this season reportedly attracting the interest of Everton.

However, Football Insider claims that Spurs are also in the race for Souttar's signature, with Santo keeping tabs on the 6ft 6in defender since his time in charge at Wolverhampton Wanderers and sending scouts to watch him this season.

The report adds that Stoke are bracing themselves for bids from Premier League sides over the winter, with Aston Villa also involved in the transfer tussle for Souttar's services.

The 23-year-old also has six goals to boast from nine games for the Australia national team, and his contract with Stoke does not expire until 2025.
