Real Madrid are reportedly considering three defensive targets, with Nacho Fernandez expected to leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the near future.

Real Madrid reportedly have a three-man shortlist of defensive targets, including Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

After recruiting David Alaba in 2021, Real Madrid bolstered their defensive options by signing Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer in the recent summer transfer window.

However, Nacho Fernandez is believed to be heading towards the exit door after starting only one La Liga game this season, and as a result, the European champions are looking at potential replacements.

According to Calcio Mercato, Real Madrid are currently considering three options as potential additions to their squad.

Inter Milan's Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij are both being looked at, while Villarreal defender Pau Torres is another candidate.

Skriniar has previously attracted interest from a number of European clubs, but he is reportedly set to sign a new contract with Inter, while De Vrij's current deal will expire at the end of the season.

Real Madrid could also face competition for Torres, who has recently been linked with Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
