Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Inter Milan defender Stefan De Vrij.
Spurs signed Cristian Romero and Clement Lenglet on loan during this summer's transfer window to bolster their defensive reinforcements, and they could be in line to sign another as early as January.
De Vrij, 30, is a vastly experienced title-winning centre-back with 452 senior appearances across his career for Inter, Lazio and Feyenoord.
According to Football Insider, Tottenham are keen on signing De Vrij amid new doubts over his Inter future, having been previously linked with a move in the past.
Antonio Conte is a fan of the defender from their time together in Italy and their interest has re-ignited due to the fact that De Vrij is out of contract this summer, with no sign of a new deal on the horizon at the current time.
Furthermore, due to Inter's financial issues, he could be available at a value price in the January window.
De Vrij will also get the chance to star at the World Cup for his country, as it was confirmed today that he will be part of Louis Van Gaal's 26-man Netherlands squad for the tournament in Qatar.
