Celtic manager Neil Lennon warns potential suitors that Gary Hooper will not be allowed to leave the club this month.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has insisted that the club have no intention of selling leading goalscorer Gary Hooper before Thursday's transfer deadline.

Premier League outfit Norwich City have had two bids rejected for the 25-year-old over the last couple of weeks, while Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest.

However, despite the speculation, Lennon has expressed his desire to keep the English striker at Celtic Park.

"He's our player and he has got 18 months to go on his contract. He's probably in the best form since he walked into the club," Lennon told reporters. "I'll reiterate it again - I don't want to sell him and the club doesn't want to sell him and I think we remain pretty steadfast on that.

"We've only had one club interested. We haven't even asked for a price. People say 'name your price' but we are not putting a price on him."

Hooper has scored 23 goals in all competitions so far this season.
