Norwich City reportedly fail with a second offer to tempt Celtic into parting with leading goalscorer Gary Hooper.

Norwich City have reportedly seen a second offer for Gary Hooper rejected by Scottish champions Celtic.

The Canaries had a first bid for the 24-year-old, believed to be in the region of £5m, turned down last week.

They have since returned with a counter offer, only to have that dismissed by the Bhoys as well, according to numerous reports.

Despite speculation to the contrary, earlier today Norwich insisted that they would not be using captain Grant Holt as bait to land Hooper, who has been named in the Celtic starting lineup to face Dundee United this evening.
