Tottenham Hotspur have decided against keeping defender William Gallas following three seasons at the club.

The 35-year-old had expected to leave White Hart Lane this summer after losing his place in the team to the likes of Michael Dawson and Jan Vertonghen.

Gallas is now available to sign for another club on a free transfer. David Bentley, who has spent loan stints at Russian side FK Rostov and Blackburn Rovers, has also been released.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have released a handful of players, including Florent Malouda, Paulo Ferreira and Yossi Benayoun.
