Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic wishes Roberto Soldado the best of luck if his potential move to Tottenham Hotspur becomes a reality.

Valencia coach Miroslav Djukic has wished Roberto Soldado well for his future if the striker's move to Tottenham Hotspur comes to fruition.

Soldado has been a target for Spurs this summer, with the North London outfit allegedly offering around £20m for the Spain international.

Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas recently confirmed that the club are trying to bring the former Real Madrid forward to White Hart Lane this summer.

Los Che are reluctant to lose last season's top scorer, but Djukic admits that Soldado will leave with the club's best wishes should he make the switch to the Premier League.

"If his exit to Tottenham is confirmed, then we will wish him all the luck in the world," Djukic told reporters.

"I spoke to Roberto this morning. He is a very good professional and if he decides to leave we will wish him a lot of luck and if he chooses to stay with us then we will be delighted because he is a great professional and he can help us a lot.

"I haven't spoken to the club, whatever happens [will happen]."

Soldado scored 24 goals for Valencia last season as they finished fifth in La Liga.
