Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose attracts interest from six Premier League clubs, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is reportedly the subject of interest from six Premier League clubs.

The 29-year-old, who will see his Spurs contract expire at the end of the 2020-21 campaign, has made 16 appearances for his English club during the current season.

Rose has not been involved in any of Jose Mourinho's last three squads, however, and according to Sky Sports News, six Premier League clubs are interested in signing the defender during the January window.

Mourinho has insisted on more than one occasion in recent days that the Englishman is still part of his plans despite not being involved in recent games, although Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga have both seemingly moved ahead of him in the pecking order.

Ben Davies will also be another option at left-back once the Wales international recovers from an ankle injury, suggesting that Rose could be deemed surplus to requirements at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs would allegedly be prepared to sell the experienced defender this month but are against the idea of sending him out on loan.

Newcastle United and Watford are two of the clubs to be mentioned as possible suitors for a player who was widely expected to seek pastures new in last summer's transfer window.
