Tottenham Hotspur midfielder David Bentley could remain in Russia beyond his short-term loan move.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder David Bentley is reportedly keen to remain in Russia beyond his short-term loan move.

The 30-year-old joined FC Rostov from Spurs until December, but it is understood that he could complete a permanent move in January, according to Sky Sports News.

Bentley spent the beginning of last season on loan at West Ham United, while a knee injury kept him out of the second half of last season.

He has yet to make his first-team debut for the Russian club.
