Agent: 'Inter Milan looking to sell Mauro Icardi'

Mauro Icardi's wife and agent Wanda Nara has claimed that Inter Milan are looking to sell the striker this summer.

The Nerazzurri had stated that they would not sell their club captain this transfer window, despite the likes of Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur being linked with his signature.

However, Nara has claimed that Inter's financial situation is causing them to put Icardi on the market.

She told Calciomercato: "From what I can see, Inter have put Icardi up for sale. There are many clubs interested. We will evaluate the situation with all due respect for everyone.

"Mauro would be very sad to leave Inter, but we've understood the club's economic situation.

"There is no release clause in his contract and we hope Inter won't ask for a sum that is outside the market value, but rather suited to his contract."

Icardi joined Inter from Sampdoria in 2013.
