How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Ahead of Sunday's Premier League game between Spurs and Wolves, Sports Mole looks at how Jose Mourinho's side could line up in North London.

Tottenham Hotspur head into Sunday's meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers looking to end their run of two successive defeats.

In games which came within 65 hours of each other, Spurs succumbed to narrow defeats to RB Leipzig and Chelsea respectively.

However, while Wolves have played twice since Spurs lost out at Stamford Bridge, the North Londoners will have enjoyed an eight-day break come kickoff this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Jose Mourinho's side could line up for the Premier League contest in England's capital.

Having talked up Erik Lamela after his last two substitute outings, it would come as a surprise if Mourinho did not hand a recall to the Argentine for this game.

Dele Alli should also feature in the first XI, potentially in the number 10 role if Mourinho decides to revert to a 4-2-3-1 formation.

That would allow Steven Bergwijn to return to the right flank, while Giovani Lo Celso would be in a position to play alongside Harry Winks in central midfield.

After lasting just over an hour against Chelsea, Tanguy Ndombele will likely be the player to drop down to the bench.

Mourinho is also expected to bring Serge Aurier back into the team, possibly at the expense of academy graduate Japhet Tanganga.

Ryan Sessegnon has joined Spurs' injury list after sustaining a hip injury.
