Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Nottingham Forest

Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest.

With their hopes of silverware surely dead and buried for another year, Tottenham Hotspur host Nottingham Forest in Saturday's Premier League encounter in North London.

Antonio Conte's side were dumped out of the Champions League 1-0 on aggregate by AC Milan in midweek, having laboured to a goalless stalemate at home in the second leg.

Now only fighting for success in the top flight, Tottenham are still sitting pretty in fourth in the Premier League table, three points clear of Liverpool - who have a game in hand - despite going down 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the 14th-placed Tricky Trees, who drew 2-2 with Everton last weekend.

Emerson Royal

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: March 11 (vs. Forest)

Conte revealed in his pre-game press conference that Emerson Royal missed training on Friday due to a knock, and he is only set to make the bench at best this weekend.

Ivan Perisic

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: March 11 (vs. Forest)

Similarly, Ivan Perisic has emerged as a doubt with a minor unspecified problem, but he was able to train on Friday and seemingly has a better chance of being available.

Cristian Romero

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: March 11 (vs. Forest)

Cristian Romero stayed down injured after being sent off against Milan for a second bookable offence on Wednesday, which very well may have just been the centre-back trying to delay the inevitable, but he will need assessing ahead of Saturday's game either way.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Romero's fellow South American Rodrigo Bentancur had his season prematurely ended by an ACL injury sustained last month, and he will not be back until September in the best case scenario.

Hugo Lloris

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: April 1 (vs. Everton)

First-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris sustained damaged knee ligaments during February's win over Manchester City, and the Frenchman is unlikely to be back in action before the start of April.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 1 (vs. Everton)

As is the case with Lloris, Ryan Sessegnon is expected to spend another few weeks on the sidelines due to his latest hamstring problem.

Yves Bissouma

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Yves Bissouma was forced to go under the knife to repair a stress fracture in his ankle last month, and it is currently unclear when the Mali midfielder might make his return, but it should be before the end of the season.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR'S SUSPENSION LIST

Tottenham have no players suspended for this match, as Eric Dier returns from a one-game European ban, while Romero - assuming he shakes off his injury concern - will be fine to play despite being sent off against Milan.
