Team News: Dele Alli starts on Tottenham Hotspur bench

Dele Alli is forced to start on the bench for Tottenham Hotspur's trip to West Ham United.

Dele Alli has been forced to start on the bench for Tottenham Hotspur's trip to West Ham United tonight.

The teenager is dropped from the starting XI after picking up a knock to his ankle during Sunday's 2-1 triumph over Swansea City.

In all, Mauricio Pochettino makes four changes to the side that beat the Swans as he looks to rest key players during a busy time for the title contenders.

Harry Kane continues to lead the line for the visitors, but Son Heung-min drops to the bench as Nacer Chadli joins Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela in attacking support.

Meanwhile, Ryan Mason comes in for Alli and in the back four, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are benched in favour of Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies.

For the Hammers, there is just one change from the side that defeated Sunderland on Saturday as Pedro Obiang comes in for the suspended Sam Byram.

After three months out with a thigh injury, Diafra Sakho is named among the substitutes tonight alongside injury-prone striker Andy Carroll, who also returns.

West Ham United: Adrian; Antonio, Collins, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Obiang, Noble, Kouyate, Lanzini, Payet; Emenike
Subs: Randolph, Song, Carroll, Sakho, Oxford, Henry, Dobson

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Wimmer, Davies; Dier, Mason; Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela; Kane
Subs: Vorm, Rose, Walker, Alli, Carroll, Onomah, Son
