Tim Sherwood invites fan to take charge of Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood lets a vocal fan into the dugout to manage the team for the final stages of his side's victory over Aston Villa.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood invited a fan down from the stands and into the dugout to try his hand at managing the team during the latter stages of his side's win over Aston Villa today.

With his side 3-0 up going into second-half stoppage time, Sherwood handed over his gilet and allowed the vocal fan to sit in the manager's seat alongside coach Les Ferdinand.

Spurs went on to complete the three-goal victory, and Sherwood addressed his unorthodox method of dealing with the heckler after the game.

"That guy is an expert. Seriously, every week he tells me what to do - this one is rubbish, that one is an embarrassment, why don't you play more attacking? Why don't you shore it up?" Sherwood told reporters.

"So I gave him the opportunity to do the job. It's all light-hearted. We've got the police looking for him now because he's nicked the club gilet."
