Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to appoint Louis van Gaal as their new manager.
According to The Mirror, the Dutchman is on top of Spurs' list of potential candidates for the job at White Hart Lane.
However, Van Gaal is currently serving as the coach of the Netherlands national team and will lead them into next summer's World Cup finals in Brazil.
The reports claims that Tottenham will approach the Dutch FA and will try to convince them that allowing the 62-year-old to become their new manager will not affect him in his duties as national team boss.
Van Gaal, who took over as the coach of the Netherlands in 2012, has previously been in charge of Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich among other clubs.
