Mauricio Pochettino: 'My opinion unchanged on Danny Rose'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino says that he has accepted Danny Rose's apology for his controversial interview earlier this week.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that he has accepted defender Danny Rose's apology following his controversial interview earlier this week.

Speaking to The Sun ahead of the new campaign, the 27-year-old appeared to criticise the club's lack of activity in the transfer market and stringent wage structure, while also admitting that he would leave for a Premier League rival if the right offer came in.

Earlier today, Rose - Spurs' longest-serving player at 10 years - issued a full apology for the interview, admitting that his comments were "ill-judged" and apologised for any 'offence'.

Asked about Rose's comments and future at his pre-match presser today, Pochettino told reporters: "Of course he has a future and I want to keep him here. Nothing has changed on my perception of him.

"He apologised to everyone and now it's time to move on. It's in the past. The player is calm and we're calm. I forgive him and now we move on."

Rose has not played for Spurs since January due to a long-term knee injury but is closing in on a return to first-team action.
